Global Youth Summit
on Net-Zero Future
2024 Organizing Committee
Liaison Group
During my time with the Liaison Group for the summit organized by Tsinghua University, I had the unique opportunity to work with peers from Tsinghua and other top universities. 🌍 Collaborating with such a talented group was inspiring, and I was thrilled to contribute to global sustainability discussions.
One of the most valuable aspects was connecting closely with professors from leading universities and United Nations staff. These interactions deepened my understanding of sustainability and helped me form strong professional connections. 💡
Our group was responsible for shortlisting the semifinalists and finalists for the competition, a task that involved evaluating innovative sustainable development products. Through this process, I learned how to assess the strengths and weaknesses of various solutions, sharpening my analytical skills. This experience gave me hands-on insights into what makes a product truly impactful in the field of sustainability. 🏅
I left the experience with new knowledge, lifelong friendships, and a stronger understanding of what it takes to drive meaningful change. 💪

📍 LONDON
Reuse Foundation Intern
Projects:Build a ‘UNION’/DATABASE OF REUSE PRACTITIONERS from a business perspective
During my summer internship at Reuse Foundation, I connected with sustainable companies and small businesses in the reuse sector, helping them collaborate and grow. 🌍
I took on the challenge of developing a UNION/database for reuse practitioners across various sectors. This project allowed me to facilitate engagement and resource sharing, making it easier for companies to connect and benefit from each other's expertise. 🛠️
To further support these practitioners, I implemented targeted outreach strategies. 📣 This significantly boosted their visibility, and I provided ongoing support through tailored services, regular communication, and strategic partnerships.
Through this experience, I gained valuable insights into different reuse products and learned how small companies can scale their impact in the sustainability space. 🌱

Project: Sport Hall Design
I was thrilled to secure my first internship in London, thanks to Imperial Work Shadowing. ( The spring/summer vacation of freshman year each has a chance, and there is a high probability that you will only be given one chance, so I failed to apply for the opportunity of summer vacation ) 🙏
I had wonderful mentors and I exposure to civil engineering, including a site visit to the future London Olympia Exhibition Centre. 😺
During this period, we worked on a Sports Hall Design project, where I learned about civil engineering drawing methods and building structures. I realized the importance of sustainable building materials while maintaining stability. I also made some great friends through this experience. ♻️❗️

Women’s Health Hackathon
📍 LONDON
Project: FOR PPD -> SPEAKER NOTES
During this activity, I learned a lot about the gender gaps in healthcare. 🧑⚕️ By attending user-centered design and healthcare technology workshops and lectures, I collaborated closely with my team to develop a prototype for a healthcare product aimed at improving women's health, especially for postpartum depression in pregnant women.
Unfortunately, I was severely ill and lost my voice for 1 week 😷, so I had to communicate with my teammates using sign language :(
November 2023 - February 2024
China Global Youth Summit Intern
📍 ONLINE
Wutong Project Center
During my internship at the CGYS, I participated in the 11th "Future Partners" Program as a member of the Wutong Project Center, which aims to connect youth, enterprises, and cities. The program helps overseas students find suitable companies and cities for their development, promoting employment and entrepreneurship in China. 🔗 💼
I was primarily responsible for project management, assisting the team leader in advancing project progress and coordinating tasks across different groups. I designed project management forms, set goals and sub-goals, planned schedules, and successfully completed multiple live broadcast events. 📹 🗒️
I efficiently completed many tasks and applied my academic knowledge to practical work. I also collaborated effectively with other participants, and I appreciated our strong team spirit and mutual support. ⬆️

Secretary Department
My time at the CSSA at IC has been incredibly fun. I was delighted to meet my wonderful Secretary Department head and other members, which helped ease my initial nervousness at the beginning of the term. 🥳
My responsibilities included coordinating activities with various departments, reviewing event proposals, and overseeing the planning of large-scale events for the association. This year, we also organized offline exploration events in London, enhancing the study abroad experience for IC students by recommending and reviewing local spots. ☕️
Additionally, we managed our TikTok account. This role improved my communication, event planning, coordination, and high-efficiency execution skills through interactions with different individuals and organizations. ✌️

Project Teaching Assistant (Engineering Department)
Interning at the education company was a transition I gave myself after finishing my A-level exams. Taking advantage of my fresh experience in university applications, I shared my journey with fellow students in the engineering department. The theme was passion, which I believe was the key to receiving my university offer. ❤️
Throughout my academic journey, many mentors have helped me, and I thoroughly enjoyed this opportunity to give back by helping younger students find their future paths. ✨
During this internship, I led a project on creating a sustainable space station, accompanied students in their classes, and facilitated communication between university professors and the students. This experience was incredibly rewarding, allowing me to assist others while learning and growing alongside them. 👧🏻 👦🏻
ABOUT ME
Do you know Dalian? It is a beautiful coastal city in China.🇨🇳
I was born here and spent most of my time studying here. If you enjoy seafood & beautiful scenery, you definitely shouldn't miss it! (Though, I don't really like seafood myself 🤔).
Seeing the sea always brings me a sense of calm.🩵
